This process was initiated by the GRA, the Regulator of Gibraltar, whereas the operators are the owners of the system. Operators involved in the process:
- CTS Gibraltar
The solution implemented in Gibraltar is an Centralized Database solution with inter operator messaging. It follows the standard number porting process for Fixed and Mobile, with IVR and SMS validation solutions in place. The lead time for a mobile port is 24 Hours, for fixed number portability it may take up to 3 weeks. The project started December 1st 2010 with an initial planned going live date of June 1st 2011. It was delayed by operators until 2 April 2012.
